Falasarna Beach

by nikos

Divided by a few dunes, Falasarna Beach is actually two enormous beaches.

Widest and longest in length is the “Pachia Ammos” located in the southernmost region.

Thanks to its superb white fine sand and warm, crystal blue waves, the beach of Falasarna known as “Pachia Ammos” has been named the most beautiful beach in Crete and is consistently ranked in the top ten throughout Europe.

Even in the height of summer, when hundreds of people are around you, you won’t feel “drowned” by them because “Pachia Ammos” beach is so large.

The only negative aspect is that you will frequently come across large waves because it is open to both north and west winds.
That being said, windsurfers find it popular for this reason.

Most of the time, loungers and umbrellas are available on the well-manicured beach in Falasarna.
On the other hand, individuals who would rather leave their own towel and umbrella in the sand can earn multiple free points.

To take in Falasarna’s breathtaking sunsets—among the best in Crete—we advise you to stay until the afternoon.
